We are using grails assets plugin, and it is called multiple times after your main action controller, so groovy-breadcrumbs was being fooled (menu path seemed overridden)!
Changing BreadCrumbsFilter@30 to below solved our issue
controller:'assets', action:'*', invert: true

Would you please provide a solution for such cases built-in !?
