Overview

Trade It is a full-stack bartering web platform developed by Team 17 during the FAF.BDA21.1 course at the Technical University of Moldova. As interns at Dev IT Consulting, our goal was to create a platform that simplifies item exchange among users.

Features

1. Authentication: Secure user account creation and login.
2. Product Listings: Easy browsing of items available for trade.
3. Search and Discovery: Quick and effective item search.
4. Product Upload: Add your own products for trading.
5. Barter Transactions: Initiate and manage trades with other users.
6. Messagining System: Chat with other users.
7. Real-time notifications: Get notifications for barter updates.

Tech Stack

Front-end

• Typescript: Ensures a statically typed and safer codebase.
• Next.js: Provides server-side rendering and simplifies React application development.
• Chakra UI: A customizable component library for stunning user interfaces.

Back-end

• Java Spring: Empowers server-side logic and API endpoints.
• Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL): A robust Microsoft relational database.
• Redis: Boosts data retrieval speed with caching.
• MinIO: Manages file storage for user-uploaded images and files.
