Screen Options

Covers the Screen Options feature of the Classic Editor.

Overview

The Screen Options API has historically been used to permit management of meta box visibility:

WordPress users can also toggle between one and two column layout for the editor.

Gutenberg Equivalent

There is no Gutenberg UI for toggling meta box visibility, nor does Gutenberg have the concept of column layouts.
