Make, pls, version without close-button (×). Only dropdown-button (▼) as http://jqueryui.com/demos/autocomplete/#combobox

I think of the close button as an enhancement.. I like it with it actually.. however taking it out should be a matter of removing some html and javascript code... you guys should fork this and make a pull request

I think because we are working from a select box it makes a lot of sense to keep the x.

We aren't close to having the flexibility of jquery ui autocomplete/combobox anytime soon. If/when it gets to a point where it is more flexible(ie, can be a true combobox instead of a typeahead select) then this may make sense. I'm gonna close this issue for now though because it's not a short term goal to offer this.
