Idea

I got the idea of building my own resume builder after going through many online resume websites which require a subscription. So I went out to find how difficult it can be.

Create Resume is the simplest tool to create your resume.

Plan

My plan is to bring it up to the mark where I can create my own resume with it.

Here's a checklist of things I want to do:

  • Add all my information and display it in a preview
    • Title & Job input
    • Profile input
    • Skills input
    • Professional Experience input
    • Certificates input
  • Able to download as PDF or image format
  • Able to change styling
    • Fonts
    • Colors

I will keep adding to this list as I come up with ideas.

Getting Started

First, run the development server:

npm run dev
# or
yarn dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.tsx. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/hello. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/hello.ts.

The pages/api directory is mapped to /api/*. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.
