First attempt, but falls well short of the required word count. Not sure whether to pursue further or leave this as is and move on to a different idea. :/

Wonder if you could add some rhyming structure to it?

Okay, complete. I'd been looking for an excuse to play around with crazy amounts of footnotes and also with ConceptNet, and this seemed like as good a time as any. So...

Read I Waded In Clear Water (pdf), a novel made out of dream interpretations. Here's the source code. You can also find a little write-up about the procedure used to generate the text.
