Ansible Role: git

Role to install (by default) git package or uninstall (if passed as var) on Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS systems.

Requirements

None.

Role Variables

Available variables are listed below (located in defaults/main.yml):

Variables list:

git_app: git
git_desired_state: present

Variables table:

Variable	Description
git_app	Defines the app to install i.e. git
git_desired_state	Defined to dynamically chose whether to install (i.e. either present or latest) or uninstall (i.e. absent) the package. Defaults to present.

For default behaviour of role (i.e. installation of git package) in ansible playbooks.

  roles:
    - darkwizard242.git

For customizing behavior of role (i.e. installation of latest git package) in ansible playbooks.

  roles:

  vars:
    git_desired_state: latest
