It would be nice to host tutorial.dask.org similar to how we host examples.dask.org, which includes:

  1. Using nbsphinx to render the notebooks as HTML. (although this gets a bit more strange because exercises won't be filled in)
  2. Setting up a binder enviornment (which should just be done by the environment.yml file already in the tutorial).
  3. Ensuring that the exercises can be run inside that binder environment
  4. Setting up readthedocs and the subdomain

Follows on from #88

@quasiben is this something that you would be willing to do?

Previously, I was thinking along these lines:
As opposed to the examples, there is less to be gained by rendering cell outputs here, since the point is to work through them. Instead, rendering is about making people aware of and get interested in the content, so they are more likely to want to run it themselves. We should keep the download options pretty prominent, but the ability to run through the modules in a binder will serve that even better.

Now I am less sure!

The other aim of this repo is, of course, as material for real in-person tutorials where we can provide cluster resources and upload the material to the containers.

@mrocklin who do I talk to about pointing the subdomain (tutorial.dask.org) to the gh-pages branch ?

If we'd like to diffuse responsibility of the dask.org domain to others, I suspect that @quasiben would be a good candidate to shoulder that responsibility.

Is there interest in preserving the slide show currently in the gh-pages branch:
https://github.com/dask/dask-tutorial/tree/gh-pages

?

There is a reference for a an image: static/sklearn-parallel-dask.png and static/sklearn-parallel.png which are longer in the repo. This occurs in 08_machine_learning.ipynb
