About the Event

Linux is an open source operating system. In this presentation, learn about the history, licenses, differences between Windows and Linux. Also we will cover how to get Linux running (single OS, dual boot, virtual machines, etc). We'll also cover the flavors of Linux, such as Ubuntu, Fedora and openSUSE and how to get started using Linux.

About the Speaker

Nicholas Kyanda is an ICT professional with varied interests ranging from web development to Copyright Law to Open Source Software. He is the publisher and editor of Intersection magazine as well as a podcast with the same name. He has some training in basic theology from the Assemblies of God in the US. He is founder of Hope First Enterprises. In his free time he likes to play chess and binge watch films and TV series. He also takes a keen interest in Copyright Law.
