Looks like SSH calls stall with PY3.5, which might indicate another hidden issue with |

So, the SSH stalling did not go away with bionic. |

Rebased on master after #4835 |
This is motivated by https://travis-ci.org/github/datalad/datalad/builds/708717988 where a bunch of Xenial test runs experience stalling SSH issues. I remembered @kyleam mentioning that being related to old SSH versions (7.2 in the case of xenial). An upgrade might help...
