Filipino Support

Our app supports the Filipino language, and I couldn't find the locale so I went diving. To be frank, there's quite a bit of confusion about the Filipino locale, specifically as it is often mistaken as Tagalog. I went diving through PR's and commits and found the following:

1. Filipino support was added in 2016 -> Filipino (Philippines) language support #324 - Locale filipino #339
2. Tagalog was requested in 2019, but the request died due to lack of activity -> Feature Request: Tagalog language support #1208
3. Filipino was removed from support in 2022 as it was an "outdated locale" -> 3af8bfa

What's the current state and sentiment around supporting Filipino again?

+1 - is there any plan to support this, our organization needs this as well - although in our case we are looking for tagalog.
