Encoder is taking only every 2nd click

Hi,
I am working Version 4.1.1 and tcMenudesigner 4.1.2 on an ESP32, u8g2 with a small SSH1106 Oled and I am having Encoder-Issues. My Encoder is basically only taking every second click, sometimes it takes only every x_nth click, sometimes it goes in the wrong direction. I tried full, half and quarter cycle, i tried slower, regular and no hw_acceleration, i played with the update settings and I tried all the polling options, not to mention that I tried different encoders. I don't know what else to do.

In ...menu.cpp it goes like:
renderer.setUpdatesPerSecond(10);
switches.init(internalDigitalIo(), SWITCHES_NO_POLLING, true);
menuMgr.initForEncoder(&renderer, &menuPlayBackSmiley, 4, 5, 15,FULL_CYCLE);

in tcMenu.cpp it goes like:
setupRotaryEncoderWithInterrupt(encoderPinA, encoderPinB, [](int value) {menuMgr.valueChanged(value); }, HWACCEL_NONE, type);

thanks for the supercool tool, but can u help me with my encoder-ache?

Hm,
I tried all the above params (nopolling/fullcycle and no_acceleration) plus I worked with the params in the user section of switchinput.h and the encoder is working only with the above parameters, but does crazy things, sometimes changes directions or hangs at the end of the menu.
when I run the esp/u8g2 example in the same platformIO environment, it behaves nicely, so I suspect it has nothing to do with switchinput.h but in my code. the generated .cpp and .h files look alike to me.

sorry for bothering there was another instance of the ESP32Encoder lib being called in the code, I oversaw in my extasy.
feel free to delete that thread or manifest the embarassement for future generations..
