This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app.

Getting Started

Copy .env.local.sample to .env.local and change the values as needed:

NODE_ENV="development"
DB_NAME="awesome-default-db"
MONGODB_URI="mongodb://127.0.0.1:27017"
NEXTAUTH_SECRET="some-super-secret"
HOST="http://localhost:3000"
NEXTAUTH_URL="${HOST}"
NO_REPLY_EMAIL_ADDRESS="No Reply <no-reply@no.where>"
AWS_APP_ACCESS_KEY=testkey
AWS_APP_SECRET_KEY=testsecretkey
AWS_APP_DEFAULT_REGION=us-east-1
AWS_APP_BUCKET=my-bucket
AWS_APP_ENDPOINT=http://localhost:9000
SMTP_SERVER="localhost"
SMTP_PORT="25"
SMTP_USERNAME=""
SMTP_PW=""

Optionally, spin up the required resources:

npm run dev:services

This will start the following services:

  • MongoDB server at mongodb://127.0.0.1:27017
  • Minio (local AWS drop-in replacement) at http://localhost:9000 with admin dashboard at http://localhost:9001
  • SMTP server at http://localhost:25 and web interface at http://localhost:5000

Once you have the services started or configured, run the development server:

npm run dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.tsx. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/hello. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/hello.ts.

The pages/api directory is mapped to /api/*. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.
