Greece Visitor Phonebook for Android is a small handy app that aims to provide quick and easy access on telephone numbers and website addresses of the most essential organisations and services of Greece.
This application is part of the broader project "Visitor Phonebook". For more information check out the github project.
The project depends on two Android projects:
- The Actionbar Sherlock library which can be downloaded from here and
- And the ActiveAndroid ORM which you can download from Github.
It also requires a few Java libraries:
- jackson-annotations
- jackson-core
- jackson-databind
- pollfish
All the above libraries are included in the project as jar files under the "libs" folder.
- Checkout or download the project to your local machine
- Import project in Eclipse:
- File->Import->General->Existing Projects into Workspace, Next
- Select root directory: /path/to/project
- Projects->Select All
- UNCHECK both "Copy projects into workspace" and "Add project to working sets"
- Download and setup ActionBarSherlock (read the instcutrions here or see this video)
- Add a reference to the required ActionbarSherlock library project:
- Project->Properties->Android
- At the Library section hit the "Add" button
- Select the ActionbarSherlock project from the dialog and hit okay. If you can't see the ActionbarSherlock project in the dialog, then you probably haven't imported it properly.
- Download and setup ActiveAndroid (follow the "Adding the JAR" instructions shown here
- You are done
