All our stuff runs on HMAC-SHA256 - it would be real nice to be able to talk to it with node...I've attempted an implementation in my fork but something is just not coming together...

Excellent. I've had a go at adding HMAC-SHA256 support, but haven't been
very successful. Largely in part due to the quotation marks around the
values in the Authorisation header string.
