The purpose of this repo is for me and a friend of mine to learn how to do kaggle competitions and how to use git and github. His username is @Johann-Matthee. In the main notebook we use tree-based methods to predict whether a passenger on the Titanic survived or not depending on a few factors such as age and gender.

Note: We are both studying from the Springer: Introduction to Statistical learning with Python and many steps have some inspiration from the lab chapters.
