Hi, searching Music doesnt work with my Calyx OS Device (Lineage OS Android 11). The APP shows: Fetch error cant load.handshake error in client(os error). Certificate verify failed.hostname mismatch handshake.cc:359

Thank for hell and this cool app

Which version of the app are you using?

I'm not sure if this could do, but have you tried using another Invidious API?

I have the exact same problem on my ClayxOS.

I have tried to change the Invidious API to https://invidious.snopyta.org but it didn't work. The website works on my connection.

The error message is:

Fetch error cant load
Exception: SocketException: Failed host lookup: 'invidious.snopyta.orgapi' (OS Error: No address associated with hostname, errno=7)

I don't know whether it's normal MusicPiped is appending a api at the end of the hostname?

Is 'invidious.snopyta.orgapi with an api at the end supposed to exist?

I have also tried to put a / at the end of the Invidious API URL (so https://invidious.snopyta.org/), but MusicPiped is giving me the same error message.

In my case, multiple instances gave errors.

I managed to get it to work using https://invidious.namazso.eu/ as API

I am using a Samsung with Android 8

It is because of the invidious API. This one is working on Mi A2 in Calyx 👍

This problem is related to a bug in Invidious which is now fixed in master (by this merged PR: iv-org/invidious#2496). Find an Invidious instance which runs a recent build or run your own instance and MusicPiped will work again.
