It looks like Safari spinning wheel never stops after reloading a page that used pjax and then navigating back to the page that called pjax. You can see it live at the demo page.

  1. Visit the demo: http://pjax.heroku.com/

  2. Click on dinosaurs or aliens

  3. Reload: Command + R

  4. Back: Command + [

  5. Safari spinning wheel never ends

Safari version: 5.1
OS: 10.6.8

This works in Safari 5.0.5 on 10.6.7. I'm upgrading to the newer versions to test it out now.

I have Safari 5.1 on 10.7.2 and can't reproduce this.

for clarity sake, the spinning wheel i meant is the one on the tab.
you can see the same issue at github when you navigate forth and back using the tree slider.

I do see this now on 10.6.8 with Safari 5.1 but unfortunately I believe this is a WebKit bug.

The GitHub tree slider does not use pjax, but has the same problem.

I'm on the Safari preview Version 5.1 (7534.51.3) and it's working as expected (no spinning in the tab) if that helps at all.

@samsoffes Thanks! Sounds like this bug has already been fixed and will vanish when we all update Safari.
