The packaging tests on Arch Linux run fine without asynctest and it seems that it is no longer maintained since Python 2.4.0. Should this be dropped?

Reasonable suggestion, removed and released 2.4.9 (I'm unsure if new release is needed given it's a dev release, but no harm in a new version)
