- add missing columns before trying to merge tables
- ignore changes to columns ZDONE,QA,USER,OVERRIDE (because set by other code)
- ignore changes of GOALTIME for survey!='main'
- ignore changes from known values to 'unknown' for columns SURVEY and GOALTYPE
