Augment QA, set up LRGs for north/south split #297

Some minor QA and selection cuts updates, mainly:

Adding a QA matrix that displays the densities of targets that are selected in multiple classes.
Adding functions to facilitate different north/south selections for LRGs.

None of this should be too controversial, so I'll self-merge tonight if nobody has time to review.
