@Cyeche the new code looks fine, but can I ask you to do two "extra" things (so I can be consistent when reviewing any PRs that change the TS "cuts" functions):

1. Update the doc/changes.rst file as part of this commit, to document this PR. In this case you'd replace the statement No changes yet. with a sentence describing PR Qso sv for dr9 #655.

2. Confirm that you've updated the SV wiki to change the faint limit for the RF selection.
