devRant app on Android gets stuck when opening it

Happens on Pixel phone running latest version of Android (9). I have to open and close devRant multiple times for it to work.

I get a grey screen every few times on:
Samsung a520w
Android 8.0.0

I've had the same issue happen a few times as well - Pixel 2 (Not XL), Android 9. Have to close the app from multi tasking then re-open from the launcher or a home screen shortcut.

Only seems to happen to me when resuming the app from multi tasking, doesn't seem to happen when opening from launcher or home screen.

I use the gesture based nav, i'll give it a shot with the classic nav and report back

Doesn't matter how I launch the app, it freezes nearly everytime time and it takes me about 4 goes to finally get it to open. Sometimes it causes the whole screen to freeze thus not allowing me to edit the app or shut off the screen.

Encountered the same issue again last night but weirdly enough this time it happened with the phone and messages apps (the native ones), Can't say for certain but this might be an Android 9 issue and not a devRant one.

Following up on the classic vs gesture nav testing, had the same results using both

This should be fixed, please let me know if it still happens in latest version released today.
