A Simple Material Spinner

Installation

Groovy DSL (build.gradle)

Add it in your root build.gradle at the end of repositories:

allprojects {
    repositories {
        ...
        maven { url 'https://jitpack.io' }
    }
}

Add it in your root build.gradle at the end of repositories:

dependencies {
    implementation 'com.github.devdhar04:MaterialSpinner:v0.1.3'
}

Kotlin DSL (build.gradle.kts)

Add it in your root settings.gradle.kts at the end of repositories:

pluginManagement {
    repositories {
        ...
        maven {
            url = uri("https://jitpack.io")
        }
    }
}

Add it in your root build.gradle.kts at the end of repositories:

dependencies {
    implementation("com.github.devdhar04:MaterialSpinner:v0.1.3")

Set adapter to Spinner

var list_of_items = arrayOf("Select Country", "USA", "Japan", "India")
var spinner = findViewById(R.id.material_spinner)
spinner.getSpinner().onItemSelectedListener = this

// Create an ArrayAdapter using a simple spinner layout and languages array
val aa = ArrayAdapter(this, android.R.layout.simple_spinner_item, list_of_items)

// Set layout to use when the list of choices appear
aa.setDropDownViewResource(android.R.layout.simple_spinner_dropdown_item)

// Set Adapter to Spinner
spinner.setAdapter(aa)

Set Error in Spinner

spinner.setError("Please select Country")

Set setErrorTextColor and setErrorTextColor color added

fun setErrorTextColor(@ColorInt errorTextColor : Int)
fun setErrorTextColor(errorBorderBg : Drawable)

Now change these by xml too

    <com.dev.materialSpinner.MaterialSpinner
            ...
            app:labelText="Label"
            app:errorTextColor="@color/colorPrimaryDark"
            app:errorBorderDrawable="@drawable/payment_edit_error_red">
    </com.dev.materialSpinner.MaterialSpinner>

Set Label in Spinner

spinner.setLabel("Country")
