Wrong locale (seems to be in Russian)

On a freshly reinstalled MacBook Pro running Mac OS Catalina + Java JDK 16
Wrong locale? Russian?

Hey,

Looks like Java 16 issue. Try JDK 11 instead (LTS version).
Also (if nothing else broken) you can just click on 'gear' icon and select English in first drop-down. Then click 'OK' button next after it and close application. After restart you will see English.

If it doesn't help, install JDK 11.

Thanks! Switching the language in the Settings tab has changes nothing.
I've removed Java 16 and 15 and installed the 11 LTS and it is working now

I have this too. I've tried switching the language and running JDK 11 but no joy. I'm on Big Sur 11.30 and java version "11.0.11" 2021-04-20 LTS

Not the russian alphabet at all. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_alphabet)
