Issue Description

In order to improve our telemetry data, we need to refine what we're collecting to track the actions of unique users. Since our service does not require users to login, we can't correlate them to a hashed userid and we want to avoid IP tracking as well. Segment seems to support generating an anonymous Id that is not linked to the identity of a user. Can look into implementing this? If we set the anonymousId field, we will no longer need to set userId and we can move the generic name registry-viewer to a new custom property called client
