The URL in the readme for the devkitARM patch necessary to get a build system for ctrulib up and running is broken (http://mtheall.com/%7Efincs/3dsdkA/ resolves to 404). It's not really within your control, but it's important to making setup as easy as possible for new developers.

The devkitARM patch has been removed because it has already been integrated into devkitARM.

Just incase anyone is looking, and for continuity, as of now, it seems that the new r43 build of devkitARM is not yet available as a downloadable package for those running OS X (http://sourceforge.net/projects/devkitpro/files/devkitARM/). This causes the automated installer to fail and adds to the difficulty which new developers will experience getting set up.

This is mostly unrelated to ctrulib and definitely out of our control.

TL;DR the delay was due to a lack of c++11 support in OSX gcc which choked on the 3dsxtools code.
