Simple Clipping Guide

You can load a video by dragging and dropping a video file onto the application window, or use the load file or 'load url' buttons to load either a file from your local system or download from a webpage many popular video and streaming sites are supported. simple-demo-0

You can click on the lower timeline to jump within the video or click and drag the lower timeline to scrub around the video.

When you've found the section you want you can right click on the timeline and select 'Add new subclip' the shortcut for this is pressing the b key.

This adds a new subclip to the timeline by default it is 30 seconds long, or whatever value you have in the 'Slice Length' input in the top right.

For more precise control of the start and end times you can use the mousewheel to zoom in on the timeline and drag the start and end marker rectangles on either side of the subclip.

When you have the section you want marked out you can visit the Merge tab to encode it as a new video, the defaults are for a high quality mp4 output but there are multiple profiles that can be selected from the profile dropdown at the top of the page and further tweaked with the settings on the lower half, hover over one of the encode settings for a short description of what they do.

When all of that is selected, click 'Encode' and your new clipped video will be saved into the 'Final Videos' directory
