I have Penc freshly installed and granted admin rights. But the command button does not do anything. Windows do not turn grey. I am using a new MacBook with High Sierra (latest patch status).

Are you double-pressing cmd key and holding after second press, right? Also have you tried on other applications? Because some applications (probably not built with cocoa framework) does not work well with macOS's accessibility protocol.

I tried that, yes. I re-installed Penc and rebooted. Now it works. Thank you very much.
