DHC WG Meeting Agenda REQUESTS

WG Status and Administration - 5 minutes (keep short!)

DHCPv6bis Open Issues Discussion - 10 minutes

This is a placeholder in case there open issues needing discussion from the WGLC (ending in August).

  • Title of Session: DHCPv6bis Open Issues Discussion
  • Presenter: TBD (one or more co-authors)
  • Related Drafts: draft-ietf-dhc-rfc3315bis
  • Time Required: 10 minutes (to be adjusted)
  • Purpose of Session: Discuss open issues raised during WGLC that need higher bandwidth discussion to resolve (i.e., consensus not yet reached on WG mailing list). Goal is to debate issues and determine room consensus, then follow up on mailing list to finalize consensus.

What do about DHCPv4 Forcerenew Extensions - 5 minutes

This is a placeholder in case no other request for this document is made and attempts to reach the authors continue to fail. It is to discuss whether there is interest by someone else to take on this document.

  • Title of Session: What do about DHCPv4 Forcerenew Extensions
  • Presenter: chairs
  • Related Drafts: draft-ietf-dhc-dhcpv4-forcerenew-extensions
  • Time Required: 5 minutes (to be adjusted)
  • Purpose of Session: Determine if there is interest in this work and find someone to work on it if there is.

Resurrect draft-ietf-dhc-dhcpv6-agentopt-delegate? TBD - 10 minutes

This is a placeholder as Bernie (and Fred Templin) have raised issue with sedhcpv6 and relay-agent snooping. Resurrecting this work may be one possible solution for how relay agents can gleam the information they currently obtain view snooping when client/server communication is encrypted. (Other possibilities, such as making use of Active Leasequery could also be discussed.)

  • Title of Session: Resurrect draft-ief-dhc-dhcpv6-agentopt-delegate?
  • Presenter: TBD
  • Related Drafts: draft-ietf-dhc-dhcpv6-agentopt-delegate
  • Time Required: 10 minutes (to be adjusted)
  • Purpose of Session: Determine if there is interest in this issue, discuss this and other possible solutions, and find someone to work on it if there is.

lw4over6-dynamic-provisioning, Ian Farrer - 10 minutes

  • Presenter: Ian Farrer
  • Related Drafts: draft-fsc-softwire-dhcp4o6-saddr-opt-05
  • Time Required: 10 mins
  • Purpose of Session: This draft has been in Softwire as a non-WG item for some time, but as it’s contents specifies DHCPv4o6 client/server functional extensions, it may be better suited to be worked on by the DHC workgroup. The aim of the presentation is to find out if DHC is willing to take on the draft.
