Does it work with LJ2.95? #6
Comments
Unfortunately, I have not worked on the udmx-pyusb project for nearly 3
years. Also, I am completely unfamiliar with the Light Jockey
hardware/software that you mentioned. Given what I have read about the LJ
product, it is highly unlikely that you could get udmx-pyusb to work
against LJ hardware. They claim their software does not work on Win 10 or
11 due to security issues with their drivers. I never really used
udmx-pyusb on Win 10, so I don't know if there would be issues with it. It
doesn't require a kernel driver, so it has a chance of working.
What are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to write software to run
DMX lights through a USB-DMX interface? Are you trying to run a few lights
or many lights?
My original project involved running one DMX light, so the Anyma interface
was adequate. It was relatively inexpensive, but I would not describe it as
extremely robust. I am not familiar with any other DMX interfaces and I do
not know if there are published programming interfaces for other DMX
controllers. If a DMX controller does not claim Anyma compatibility, it
isn't going to work with udmx-pyusb without significant changes.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
Regards,
Dave

Hi mate, sorry to ask herem on anyna.ch there isn't a way to contact
them. I think you have enough experience with uDMX and maybe you know an
answer about my question, o maybe can you please advice me
someone/somewhere to ask for it, thank you a lot!
I need to build up a USB-DMX interface compatible, that may be recognized
by the programm there are already cause I see it but can't find on
internet. Thank you

Hi there. Windows 10 User here, Just wanted to point out for those who are interested that this project still works on Windows 10. Sure sometimes I have to tell windows to Roll back the driver to the one I installed not the one they like to automatically update too. Although I do have success using this still on this operating system xD |
Thank you mates for your kind support! |
@Barabba11 Where did you read that people can make the uDMX work by changing a DLL? I would imagine that's a great place to start hunting this kind of information |
I've asked them info about, I hope they may reply me.. |
