Punch Clock

A minimal, command-line program to tell when I’m working or not.

Installation

Punch clock has a gemspec file but I haven’t released it as a Gem. You can still install it like one, though:

$ git clone git://github.com/dhruvbansal/punch_clock.git
$ cd punch_clock
$ sudo rake install

Usage

Update when you’re working or not:

$ punch
Not working
$ punch in
$ punch
Working
$ punch out
$ punch
Not working

See the clock

$ punch
Working
$ punch show
2012-07-27 13:37:56 -0500;2012-07-27 13:38:08 -0500
2012-07-27 13:38:15 -0500;2012-08-02 16:04:25 -0500
2012-08-02 16:12:07 -0500;

Graph your work history (requires an X-session)

$ punch draw
