Surakshaan aims to provide free Personal safety to each of its users so that we needn’t see anymore victimized cases of various social dangers. Our users can be any individual of any age group.

▶ Send SOS alerts to your saved contacts with one click.
▶ Sensor based SOS alert system which detects motion of phone and automatically sends SOS to contacts (Currently works only on Foreground and can be according to the preference of user).
▶ Call various emergency helplines directly from Surakshaan to ease the experience of faster SOS support.
👉 Routing
▶ Surakshaan integrates a live tracking feature which enables your closed ones to track your live location in real time. (Feature can be turned ON and OFF by the user)
▶ Safehouses, in order to help you get to your nearest safehouse, where you can feel safe and can be stress free.
👉 Training
▶ Users can watch videos and blogs curated from various sources (Credits to respective owners) in order to enable users to learn about self protection techniques.
Although there are a lot of features that have to be integrated in order to make it a complete solution, we are working our best to integrate those features as soon as possible. All the features of the app are completely free and the app experience is free from third party ads & cookies.
This is the documentation of Surakshaan, a personal safety application which is you pocket digital friend and allows you to connect with your family, lets you send , lets you share your live location link, read and watch self defense techniques and find safehouses near you.
The usage of the app is very simple.
- Use the Seek Help button to send SOS messages to saved contacts.
- Use the Live Tracker button to access the prime feature i.e. Add your family and once they keep their live location ON, you can track them in realtime.
- The Explore Safety section finds Safehouses near you and guides you to reach there.
- Add your Emergency contacts from the Sviors section.
- From the Resources section, get access to curated self defense techniques and safety tips to help yourself at time of danger.
- Toggle your Live location from the Settings page.
- The Shake to detect feature is under beta phase and will be implemented fully within the next update.
