- Please notice that you may get an unrecognised application warning from Windows, just click More informations and then click Run anyway. Or you get a warning about an "Unknown application author", just confirm it.
- Please notice that in rare cases some antivirus software may report an alert: that is a false positive, indeed the coin mining feature, which was already unused in previous versions, has been removed.
If you have not started the wallet yet, you can do it by double clicking the Dimecoin icon on your desktop. The wallet will start looking for network nodes: after a couple of minutes the "Syncing process" will start:
The syncing process requires the whole blockchain to be downloaded from the other nodes of the network. It starts slow but then gets faster after some time, nevertheless that may require a long time (even 1 day or more) depending on your internet download speed and CPU power.
Start the wallet by double clicking the icon on the desktop: wait for wallet to load and/or index the blockchain on the disk (this may take several minutes if you just downloaded the blockchain from previous point 3). After the wallet is started, it will sync the blockchain with the most recent transactions that happened since you last started it. Your wallet will eventually show you the most updated value for your balance and the full history of your transactions. You can now start sending and receiving your DIME!
