This add-on enables playing films and documentaries from Dutch film platform Cinetree.nl. This an unofficial plugin. It is not created, or endorsed by Cinetree, nor is the developer in any way affiliated with Cinetree. The addon only provides a frontend to the Cinetree web services. Access is restricted to the Benelux countries.
It is possible to browse through the whole collection of films and documentaries, but an account is required to be able to play any content.
With a monthly subscription account films available from the subscription can be played directly from kodi. If you have a free account you can still browse through subscription films, but you cannot watch them until they have been made available for rent.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to rent a film directly from Kodi, but already rented films can be played. After you've paid for the film using the official Cinetree Android/Apple app or Cinetree's website, the film will be available in the menu 'My Films'
Only Kodi 19 (Matrix) and Kodi 20 (Nexus) are supported.
The Cinetree addon is available in the official Kodi repository. From the home screen select Settings > Add-ons > Install from repository > Kodi Add-on repository > Video add-ons. Scroll down to Cinetree, select and clik on Install.
For those who prefer manual installation, or want to try out beta versions, the installation method described below remains available.
- Ensure that installing from unknown sources is enabled in kodi. Click here for instructions.
- Add https://dimkroon.net/kodi-addons as file source to Kodi's file manager (instructions), or download the latest zip file manually from the GitHub releases page.
- Choose install from zip from Kodi's add-on menu. Check how to install from zip file for detailed instructions.
The preferred place for help, questions or discussions regarding this addon is this thread in the Kodi forum. Issues can be reported on GitHub.

Met deze addon kunnen films worden doorzocht en afgespeeld van het Nederlandse filmplatform Cinetree. Dit is een onofficiële addon. Het is niet gemaakt, of goedgekeurd door Cinetree en de ontwikkelaar is op geen enkele wijze verbonden met Cinetree. De addon biedt slechts toegang tot de internetdiensten van Cinetree.nl.
Je kan altijd door het assortiment van films en documentaires bladeren, maar je hebt een Cinetree-account nodig om films af te spelen.
Als je een account hebt met maandabonnement dan kan je de films die beschikbaar zijn binnen het abonnement direct bekijken. Met een gratis abonnement kan wel zien welke films er binnen het maandabonnement beschikbaar zijn, maar je kan die films pas afspelen nadat ze in het huurassortiment zijn opgenomen.
Het is helaas niet mogelijk om een film direct vanuit Kodi te huren. Huurfilms dien je eerst te betalen via de officiële Cinetree Android/Apple app of the Cinetree-website. Nadat je betaald hebt, vindt je de gehuurde film in het menu Mijn films/gehuurd en kan je hem via kodi bekijken.
Voor deze addon is Kodi 19 (Matrix) of Kodi 20 (Nexus) vereist. Mogelijk werkt het op hogere versies, maar dat is (nog) niet getest.
De Cinetree addon is beschikbaar in de officiele Kodi repository. Om te installeren ga je naar het Thuis scherm, selecteer Instellingen > Add-ons > Installeer van repository > Kodi Add-on repository > Video add-ons. Scroll naar beneden, selecteer Cinetree en klik op Installeren.
Voor degene die liever handmatig installeren, of beta versies willen uitproberen, blijft de onderstaande methode beschikbaar.
- Zorg ervoor dat installeren van onbekende bronnen is ingeschakeld in het systeem menu van kodi. Klik hier voor instructies.
- Voeg https://dimkroon.net/kodi-addons als bestandslocatie toe aan bestandsbeheer in Kodi (instructies), of download de laatste zip file van de GitHub releases pagina.
- Installeer via de optie Add-ons installeren via zipbestand in het add-on menu van Kodi. Zie Installeer addon als zip voor gedetailleerde instructies.
Voor hulp, vragen of discussie over deze addon kun je bij voorkeur terecht op het kodi forum. Fouten bij voorkeur melden op github.
