After asking in the Discord Developers guild, it appears that the
dataproperty is always present on MODAL_SUBMIT interactionshttps://discord.com/channels/613425648685547541/940752915109400617/941673820568305674
If this is not correct, then I would suggest removing the "It is optional for future-proofing against new interaction types" part
