Requires an Xinput compatible controller. Xinput is the default input backend on this branch for a good reason, Winkey or SDL will cause freezes or crashes.

MOST GAMES WILL NOT WORK, OR CRASH AFTER SOME TIME.

Releasing this build for testers, no guarantees that it'll work on anyone's machine or that games will be playable.

Expect higher CPU usage and slightly worse performance. For best results you should have at least six logical processors (hardware threads). This will not run under Wine.

Games that previously were not playable, but are on this branch:

  • Things On Wheels
  • Quake 4 (game no longer runs in slow-mo)
  • Dynasty Warriors 6 (menu crash no longer happens, audio works now)

Games that seem to be playable

  • Halo 3
  • Halo Reach (still has memory leak issue that master and normal canary have)
  • Tomb Raider
  • Prince of Persia

Games that have parity with canary_experimental, so they still crash/are broken but not in new ways:

  • The Assassins Creed series

Games that are broken by nukernel currently:

  • Most games
  • Fable 2
  • Fable 3
  • Halo 4
  • Diablo 3
