Add Auto Waypoint creation based on a grid

I am looking much forward to this!
I understand some "grid planners" utilize rough altitude information from
the underlying map. It would be very usefull if one could load an offline
digital elevation model to base flying altitudes on instead. I am not sure
in which format they would need to be though.

What happened to grid generation? 2 years have gone by. It's absolutely essential to mapping missions. With this one feature, I could drop Mission Planner and never have to boot Windows again.

Maybe it will never come. It seems that there is no interest on Mac OS...
