When adding a {% static_placeholder %} to a template, it's possible to run into: While creating a static_placeholder in template - got MultipleObjectsReturned at /en/
In other words, somehow adding the {% static_placeholder %} to the DB resulted in two being added. This seems to occur quite consistently if you follow the steps in the tutorial, so it's relatively easy to reproduce.
It doesn't happen every time, with every {% static_placeholder %}.
Experience seems to suggest that it's related to expanding the placeholder in the structure board and then reloading the page.
