Media download timeout after firmware upgrade (M300/H20) #768

Hello,

I recently upgraded by firmware on M300 and H20 to the latest versions (02.02.0102/02.02.0100).
After this update, I can no longer use the MediaManager api to download images. I get the error message Execution of this process has timed out(255) every time. Noticably I also get timeouts when downloading files through the Onboard SDK (which also worked with an earlier firmware). I cannot even watch the images in the album feature in DJI Pilot which used to work good before.
To make matters worse, I cannot downgrade the firmware via DJI Assistant either (it never goes above 0%, I just get an error message saying "Update failed").

Same here. The tricky thing was that we were able to downgrade the camera software and it worked, and we upgraded it again and it worked too! However, it worked for a couple of days and then, all of a sudden, it failed again. Can be solved repeating the trick every time, but this is not an acceptable solution... @tobiasfriden, did you get any answer of DJI by any other means?

@japelaez6894 not a word from DJI yet unfortunately. How were you able to downgrade the camera software? I am trying to do it through DJI Assistant but it fails (without further instructions).
It worked flawlessly before firmware update so I definitely suspect it is firmware related.

@tobiasfriden nothing especial... Just like you can see in the screenshot, but I guess that's what you're already trying.

In theory, you can also upgrade (not sure if also downgrade) it by copying the bin file (https://www.dji.com/es/zenmuse-h20-series/downloads) in the root of an empty SD card. When booting up the drone, different beep sequences should occur, indicating the state of the upgrade. However, we tried it when the latest firmware was released and it didn't work pretty well... You could give a try, in any case.

But that's not the real problem of the issue, @dji-dev, that's just a workaround... Can you confirm this is a firmware bug? Are you already working on it?
