No programming experience is necessary for this introduction to the Python programming language and DrawBot, a MacOS application that creates 2D vector graphics and typography from code written by you! Setting aside traditional design tools like InDesign and Illustrator, we will create our own tools to automate repetitive tasks and generate hundreds of variations on a theme...things we would never want to do by hand. By working out a design system in code, we will gain practical programming experience as well as the opportunity to reconsider the role that tools play in our work.
No se necesita experiencia en programación para esta introducción al lenguaje de programación Python y DrawBot, una aplicación de MacOS que crea gráficos vectoriales 2D y tipografía a partir del código escrito por usted. Dejando a un lado las herramientas de diseño tradicionales como InDesign e Illustrator, crearemos nuestras propias herramientas para automatizar tareas repetitivas y generar cientos de variaciones sobre un tema ... cosas que nunca querríamos hacer a mano. Al elaborar un sistema de diseño en código, obtendremos experiencia práctica en programación, así como la oportunidad de reconsiderar el papel que juegan las herramientas en nuestro trabajo.
