In the rooms menu, you can select a room, and at the top left corner of the room-menu the active room will flash, indicating that this is the room you will place when clicking with your mouse on a free tile. The same thing goes for the spell-menu with the spell you plan to cast. When you have a room or spell ready, the icon flashes, and you can right-click for the icon to stop flashing, this will indicate that left-clicking will not place the room or cast the spell.

However, in KeeperFX this goes wrong on the workshop menu - the behavior works fine in the original game - as soon as you open the workshop menu there's already an icon flashing, and when you select a trap or door for placement that one will flash, rightfully indicating that it will be placed when you click somewhere. However, when you right-click and deactivate the trap/door for placement, it will continue to flash. It should not.

To reproduce:

  1. Run KeeperFX
  2. Start the map Netzcaro
  3. Open the workshop menu by pressing '4'
  4. Select the Iron door by clicking the icon
  5. Right-click anywhere to deselect the iron door
-> Notice you still have an iron door icon at the top left of the menu, flashing
  6. Open another menu, for example the room-menu
  7. Reopen the workshop menu
-> Notice you still have an iron door icon at the top left of the menu, flashing
