Based on the command generated by go.sh, the docker-compose file should look like this:

version: "3"

services:
  splunk-network-health-check:
    image: dmuth1/splunk-network-health-check
    restart: "unless-stopped"
    privileged: true
    volumes:
      - ./splunk-data:/data
      - ./user-prefs.conf:/opt/splunk/etc/users/admin/user-prefs/local/user-prefs.conf
    ports:
      - 8000:8000
    environment:
      TARGETS: "google.com,8.8.8.8,1.1.1.1"
      SPLUNK_START_ARGS: "--accept-license"
      SPLUNK_PASSWORD: "password1"

Hi,

So I looked through my docs for this project, and I didn't actually have anything in it about the docker-compose file. I think I might have used it for some development back when I started this project, but never really did anything with it. Hmm.

Before I try to fix anything, let me first ask what the goal is? If you were looking to learn Splunk, you might find this separate project I made a little more useful: https://github.com/dmuth/splunk-lab

If you were looking to monitor Internet connectivity, you might find this project works a little faster: https://github.com/dmuth/grafana-playground

If you're using this project in a way that isn't a good fit for either of the above, please let me know!

Thanks,

-- Doug

The example I posted above will deploy your network health check tool. You have a docker-compose.yml file in the repo, but maybe you were just using that for local development. Anyway, this example removes the need to use curl or the go.sh script. 😄
