Also, I'm experiencing encoding problems, and can't use plantuml:: macros anymore without triggering jruby encoding errors, despite using UTF-8 everywhere and running fixEncodings task before.

this seems to be the problem: asciidoctor/asciidoctor-diagram#428

So, it only seems to be a problem with the plantuml::filename[] syntax

added -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 to the gradle call as workaround
