I'm not able to build a container from this image, because apt-get cannot resolve Temporary failure resolving archive.ubuntu.com
Also ping, netstat, ip ifconfig are not available.

sudo docker run  -ti i386/ubuntu:latest bash
apt-get update
Temporary failure resolving archive.ubuntu.com

docker run --privileged - -ti i386/ubuntu:latest bash
apt-get update
works!

but

docker build -t .

still fails.

This isn't likely an issue with the image, and sounds like an issue with either the configuration of your host machine or your network. I would recommend trying the Docker forums or the #docker IRC channel (on Freenode) for help diagnosing and fixing further.

Feel free to comment if you feel I've closed this issue in error (preferably with some case we can use to reproduce the issue).
