Expected behavior

CPU utilisation should not be impaired with Docker NOT running

Actual behavior

System process constantly runs at around 35% after docker has been started, then stopped

Information

  • C8049946-E28F-4BA1-99FD-EA2E5855E6D2/2016-12-04_00-18-16
  • Even when docker is shut down, HyperV service switched off, the System process CPU remains at 35%
  • Set Docker not to start on boot, System process at 0%
  • Start docker, System process CPU raises to 35%
  • Stop docker - System CPU process still at 35%
  • Have to reboot machine to get Service CPU process to return to normal (even tried shutting down Docker and HyperV running services).
  • Uninstall docker, system CPU utilisation return to normal.
  • Win 10 Pro 64bit Preview build 14971
  • Fresh install of Docker (even tried Beta Docker, same deal).

The image below show docker VM not running, yet System CPU utilisation still at 35%
image

The only way I am able to return to normal is to uninstall docker then reboot the machine

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Install Docker
  2. Start docker
  3. Stop docker

Thanks for reporting! I suspect this is a dupe of #220, so closing.

Please re-open if that's not the case.
