Docker crashes when starting on wsl2 #7164

  • I have tried with the latest version of my channel (Stable or Edge)
  • I have uploaded Diagnostics
  • Diagnostics ID: 374513F7-8009-484F-8C36-46187B87809E/20200610123311

Expected behavior

to start docker

Actual behavior

docker crashes on start

Information

  • Windows Version: Windows 10 Pro 2004
  • Docker Desktop Version: 2.3.0.3 (45519)
  • Are you running inside a virtualized Windows e.g. on a cloud server or on a mac VM: Windows

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. set up WSL2
  2. install Docker
  3. try to start Docker for Windows
  4. it crashes

did you update your images from wsl -> wsl2? wsl --set-version Alpine 2

there was a bug with microsoft/WSL#4177
