Hi again. To help, I add the log file content here:

I am getting below error when I try to share local drive(volume) with docker for windows docker run --rm -v c:/Users:/data alpine ls /data I tried sharing the folder from the docker settings and provided my username and password but no luck and getting same error |
Same for me, I can't share any drive [23:51:35.881][SambaShare ][Error ] Unable to mount C drive: container_linux.go:247: starting container process caused "exec: "/usr/bin/nsenter1": stat /usr/bin/nsenter1: no such file or directory" [23:51:35.881][SambaShare ][Info ] Removing share C Dignostic Id 4BE0CEB6-BAC2-4419-B87F-757BA5389CEE/2017-05-23_23-54-56 Surface Pro 4 |
I have the same issue; I deleted my log file, and tried to share the C drive. This is the resulting log file.
I'm running on a Surface Book with the latest Windows 10 build 15063. |
hi @greenwizard88 restart and if not then reinstall |
@sirio3mil I tried that, both uninstalling/reinstalling and repairing, as well as rebooting. None of that helped :\ |
Hi @greenwizard88 Can you please check to see if you have admin rights? I see this error in the logs: What kind of environment are you running Docker in? |
Thanks everyone for your help so far. This is what I've got after playing around for a while. Docker Community Edition Windows 10 Pro In this state, I uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled Docker, and received the following in my log when trying to enable sharing on C: Note: I cannot share my C drive via "My PC" -> C Drive -> Right click -> Properties ->"Sharing" Tab -> "Share" button (I don't know if this is a Windows issue or AD restriction?), but if I click the "Advanced" button in the Sharing tab, I can share the C drive. It is accessible on the network. With my C drive shared from Windows, if I go to Docker and try to share my C drive, it un-shares the C drive from the network in Windows as well.

I'm using Edge channel instead Stable, maybe it works for you |
The Edge channel doesn't start. I receive the error referenced here #785 To be clear (I'm just learning this myself) while I use Azure AD to login - I believe it's connected to my O365 account - I am not joined to a domain. |
I was able to resolve this issue by going to the Windows settings app and "Resetting this PC". Thank you everyone for your help. |
Try the newest Edge build. Version 17.06.1-ce-rc1-win20 (12818). The issue is fixed for me there. |
