For removing a version we should also keep in mind that some Google top search results to the docs are on older versions. It would take some time before the 404 will be removed from the results and I don't know if the next versions would succeed. The Algolia indices to the removed versions also still exist.

I noticed that branches prior to 1.6.x don't exist. Should we delete 1.6.x?
