SYMKEY_GENERATION_REQUEST Audit Event

Overview

The SYMKEY_GENERATION_REQUEST audit event is generated when a request to generate a symmetric key is received.

Properties:

  • SubjectID: UID of user requesting the key generation

  • Outcome: success/failure

  • GenerationRequestID: ID of request on KRA request queue

  • ClientKeyID: user provided client key identifier

Examples

Use PKI CLI to generate a symmetric key:

$ pki -n kraadmin kra-key-generate "my_symkey9" --key-algorithm AES --key-size 128 --usages encrypt,decrypt

The server will generate the following events:
